Many of the facilities within Capel St Mary are managed by the Capel Community Trust, working closely with the local Parish Council. The bars within the hall complex are run on behalf of the Capel Community Trust by the Capel Community Association who also put on various events and entertainment throughout the year to further raise funds.
In addition to the hall complex which houses the main hall, two bars and a substantial library, the Capel Community Trust also has responsibility for the playing field.
This is a 9 acre site that contains a pavilion, a tennis court area, Bowls club, together with pitches and a training area used by several football teams.
The Capel Community Trust also cater for the younger members of the community via a provision of two play areas - one outside the hall and one on the playing field.
Each year we hold a firework display and a village fun day, which large numbers of the village attend and have fun whilst also raising money to maintain these facilities.
Capel St Mary is located just off the A12 between Ipswich and Colchester.
The Trust will not respond to the requests in anonymous letters but welcomes residents to attend Trust meetings and discuss issues openly.
