Action Points

  • Deposit for refurb has gone under as capital purchase.
  • Subscriptions up to £7800.
  • Bar take up £11,000, we’re up 33% compared to elsewhere down 8%.
  • ADT is 3 months cancellation, so will save come August.
  • Wages up due to lots of functions.




  • Funday was another successful event raising £3000 for the trust.
  • Stephanie suggested a gin & Fizz weekend for the ladies, we will ask Olly at the next meeting.
  • Stephanie suggested an open air cinema on the playing field, costs £1000 for screen for 2000 people, generators, event kit, walkie talkies and risk assessment, back up generator and person to work it. Could charge £5.00 a ticket. We would have to pay for film as copywrite. We could have bar, BBQ and popcorn. We should pencil in a date for next year. Action: SB





  • We will have a staff meeting after the refurb to discuss cleaning etc.
  • We received a letter from The Orchard Players thanking us for our co-operation.


  • The refurb has started and we are ahead of schedule
  • We have a stocktake on Friday 20th July, may take a little longer this time due to refurb.
  • New alarm has been installed.



Trust Report


  • Trust are doing well, hall hire holding up nicely.
  • Bought new gazebos for funday but want to purchase 3 more.
  • Air conditioning in library is being done on Monday 23rd
  • Sandra Bumphry has resigned and will work til the end of august, new lady will be at the next trust meeting. Mark browning has resigned from the chair and as a trustee so Iain Bramhill has taken over the role of Chairman.


Any Other Business


  • Jon Bunkell suggested a push on lifetime membership in November.
